The Mayborn Museum Complex invites you to hop aboard the Mayborn Express! Eight model train sets will be on exhibit from Saturday, December 9th to Wednesday, December 20th, thanks to the Central Texas Area Model Railroaders. Operating layouts of eight scale model train sets will include elaborate scenes of bridges and trestles, cities and towns, and depict both the past and present. The models range in size from a Z scale-which is the smallest commercially available model railway at a ratio of 1:220-to a G scale, more commonly referred to as garden railways at a ratio of 1:24.

The trains will run on Saturdays from 10 am - 5 pm and Sundays from 1 pm - 5 pm.

Model Train Scene During the week, the trains will make two trips every day-from 10:00 - 11:30 am and from 12:30 - 2:30 pm. An extended run of the trains will occur on Thursday, during which the trains will run from 12:30 - 8:00 pm. Follow the flashing signal lights to the Anding Traveling Exhibits Gallery which will lead you to the train displays. The young and the young-at-heart will enjoy imagining the excitement of being a train engineer!
