Baylor University, October 16-18, 2009
Meeting Location
Baylor University will host the meeting of the Central Section of the American Mathematical Society, Friday, October 16 to Sunday October 18, 2009. All lectures and special sessions will be held at the Baylor Sciences Building. The Baylor Sciences Building (BSB) is a 'state-of-the-art' 508,000 square foot building (completed in 2004) and an ideal location for an AMS regional meeting. Click on the link BSB if you wish to see a gallery of pictures of this building. Updated Information For a layout of the building showing where each special session and plenary talk is located, click Baylor/AMS Session Map.
A campus map will appear on the back of your registration folder. This map is also available by clicking here. The actual map is on the second page of the pdf document that will open up; it is best to 'zoom in' to properly see the map. On this campus map, the BSB is the 'three-fingered' building near the corner of University Parks and Bagby Avenue; it is labeled #78 on the map. Other points of interest on the map are the Sid Richardson Building (home of the Department of Mathematics) as #58, Starbucks/Chili's Too is #69, the Baylor Bookstore is #20, Penland Cafeteria is #41, the Mayborn Museum is #92, the Armstrong-Browning Museum is #15, and the Baylor Bear Habitat is #23. Please note that these numbers appear only on the campus map - the actual buildings themselves do not have these numbers.
