Baylor Alumnus and Benefactor, Judge Hightower, Receives TLA Award
Jack English Hightower, BA '49, LLB '51, has been selected posthumously for the Texas Library Association (TLA) Outstanding Services to Libraries Award. He will be recognized Wednesday, April 9, in San Antonio at the TLA Annual Conference. Judge Hightower died in Austin, Texas on Aug. 3, 2013, at age 86.
Former Baylor Regent and Library Proponent Receives TLA Benefactor Award
Ella Wall Prichard, a 1963 Baylor graduate and former member of the Baylor Board of Regents, has been awarded the Texas Library Association (TLA) Benefactor Award. The award will be presented to Prichard Wednesday, April 9, at the Opening Author Session of the TLA Annual Conference in San Antonio, Texas.

Poage Library Exhibit Commemorates 1964 Civil Rights Act
The W. R. Poage Legislative Library at Baylor University commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Movement with an exhibit featuring photographs, interactive video and other artifacts on display from February through June 2014. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

Poage Library Hosts JFK Exhibit Until May
W.R. Poage Legislative Library, located on Baylor's campus, is currently hosting an exhibit celebrating the life, presidency and legacy of President John F. Kennedy. The exhibit intends to honor the 50th anniversary of Kennedy's assassination and will run through May 2014.
