Students, Faculty and Staff who stopped by the Moody Memorial Library on the first day of classes discovered a new Starbucks Coffee and completely refurbished seating area. Construction on the new facility began in early July and was completed by Monday, August 15, 2011 - just in time for the beginning of the new academic year. This Starbucks Coffee replaces the Java City that served the Baylor community for 8 years on the Garden Level of Moody Library. While there are still a few enhancements to come to the new space - including two, lighted Starbucks Coffee signs, permanent tabletops and additional furnishings - Starbucks is fully operational and many students, faculty and staff were seen as the new semester began enjoying the new facilities as a place for studying as well as socializing over coffee.
The new regular hours for Starbucks Coffee in Moody Library are as follows:
Sunday: 2:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.
Monday: 7:30 a.m. - 1:00 a.m.
Tuesday: 7:30 a.m. - 1:00 a.m.
Wednesday: 7:30 a.m. - 1:00 a.m.
Thursday: 7:30 a.m. - 1:00 a.m.
Friday: 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

These hours will change during university holidays and other periods during the years. Check the Moody Library website, the Starbucks Coffee at Moody Library website or the doors signs at the entrances to Moody and Jones Libraries for the most current hours.
