Educational Technology Showcase Set For April 2

March 11, 2008

For many faculty members, one of the most challenging aspects of teaching is learning how to integrate new technologies into their curricula to engage the "Net Generation." Baylor's second-annual Educational Technology Showcase (ETS), which will take place from noon to 3 p.m. on April 2 in the Moody Library's Allbritton Foyer, is a campus-wide event highlighting Baylor's use of technology in the teaching and learning process, including presentations from several faculty who have implemented technology into their classes in innovative ways.

Poster and computer presentations by Baylor's faculty and by Electronic and Central Library staff will include discussions about using blogs, podcasts, web conferencing, Second Life and other online technologies in the classroom. For a full listing of all presentations, CLICK HERE. The ETS not only will provide a glimpse into how many faculty are using technology, but faculty can also learn about the technology resources Baylor provides to aid the teaching process.

Door prizes will be given away every hour, and food will be available. For more information, visit the Educational Technology Showcase Web site at or e-mail John Lowe.
