Central Libraries Announce Thanksgiving Hours

Nov. 4, 2004

Moody Memorial Library and Jesse H. Jones Library will be closed on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 25 and 26, but will be open on a reduced schedule on Wednesday and Saturday, Nov. 24 and Nov. 27.

'Although these days are official University holidays this year, the Central Libraries will be open to support faculty and students who wish to use the facilities for research,' said Bill Hair, associate dean and director of the Central Libraries.

The libraries will close at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, and be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 24. After closing on Thursday and Friday, the libraries will be open on Saturday, Nov. 27, from noon to 5 p.m. The Prichard Information Commons on the second floor of Moody Library will be closed on Wednesday and Saturday of that week, but the Moody Computer Facility on the garden level will be open during library hours. Since the computer lab closes 30 minutes before the library, it will close at 4:30 p.m. rather than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday.

Regular fall library hours will resume on Sunday, Nov. 28, when the libraries are open from 1 p.m. to 1 a.m.

The libraries will be open for extended hours until 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, Dec. 3-4 and Dec. 10-11.
