JFK Exhibit in Baylor Collections of Political Materials

Nov. 21, 2003

To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the assassination of John Fitzgerald Kennedy, the staff of the Baylor Collections of Political Materials (BCPM) has mounted an exhibit of materials in the collection. On display are videos, books, photographs and original newspapers and magazines from the papers of former U.S. Congressmen Bob Poage and Jack Hightower. Visitors can watch videos, research the event on a CD, or view web pages on the assassination.

This display is part of a nationwide project by The History Channel, which premiered a three-hour documentary, , to enhance our understanding of this enormously gifted and conflicted man. The channel furnished bookmarks and a reading list to encourage further learning and discussion about JFK. The BCPM has also compiled a list of resources available in the collection. Visit the BCPM in the Poage Legislative Library any time from 9 a.m. to noon or from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Nov. 24- 26 or Dec. 1-5, to participate in this 'anniversary experience.'Ñ Ben Rogers, BCPM
