On Thursday night the Baylor University Libraries received a Bronze ADDY from the Advertising Federation of Waco for its "Celebration of Texas" publicity campaign. Kelcy Parrish, a December 2012 Baylor graduate in Art, produced the design for the campaign and was on hand to receive the award. The "Celebration of Texas" honored Texas writers through an exhibit provided by Humanities Texas and a series of community events that featured Texas musicians, poets, writers and filmmakers. Along with the Bronze ADDY, the Baylor University Libraries were mentioned as contributors on two other projects that received awards. The Texas Collection was noted for its material contributions to the "About Baylor" website (www.baylor.edu/about/), and the Baylor University Libraries were mentioned for their contributions to "The History of Baylor" online timeline (www.baylor.edu/about/timeline/), which was adapted from an online exhibit previously produced by the Libraries in association with Baylor Internet Services. These awards mark the continued growth of the Baylor University Libraries in the quality of its publicity efforts and its collaboration across the University.
