In conjunction with the Baylor English Department and Beall Poetry Festival, the Baylor University Libraries proudly present an exhibit honoring essayist, translator and Nobel Prize winning poet Seamus Heaney.
Now through March 11, the exhibit featuring Heaney's works and inspirations will be displayed on the first floor of Jones Library and the corridor between Moody and Jones Libraries. This exhibit coincides with Seamus Heaney's visit to the Baylor campus as part of the annual Beall Poetry Festival on March 4 at 7:00 p.m. in the Jones Theatre of the Hooper-Schaefer Fine Arts Center.
The exhibit showcases four of Heaney's poems: Wintering Out, Causality, The Other Side and Digging as well as images, books, and information relating to his life's work. The display also lines the corridor with Heaney's book covers, such as Death of a Naturalist, The Midnight Verdict, and a New Verse Translation of Beowulf.
