Waco's Cultural Heritage Preservation Week is set aside each year to promote and educate our community on the importance of protecting and preserving our local culture. This event is a joint project combining expertise from the Waco-McLennan County Library and Baylor University Libraries.

This Year's Theme

This year's event is a Preservation Fair, sponsored by the Waco-McLennan County Libraries, the Central Texas Genealogical Society and Baylor University Libraries. The programs will be offered on May 2, 2015 from 1:30-5:30 in the meeting room at the West Waco Library & Genealogy Center (5301 Bosque Blvd #275, near Target).

Experts from numerous fields will be available to evaluate your cultural heritage items, including:

Photos

Paper documents

Metal

Glass

Wood

Stone and more

Our experts will give you tips on how to best care for your collections, but they will not provide monetary appraisals. Please be aware that weapons (knives, firearms, etc.) are not allowed at this event.
