About the Preservation Unit

The Preservation Unit is located on the Garden Level of Moody Memorial Library. The Unit restores and mends library materials for the University libraries; prepares and receives materials sent for commercial binding (books, periodicals, theses/dissertations); completes final processing of library materials for the shelves; and provides user education in preservation through presentations and annual exhibits.

• Mission - The mission of the Preservation Unit is to preserve, protect, and maintain the collections of the Central Libraries through utilization of proven methods of preservation and restoration.
