On Tuesday, February 28, 2017, KWBU 103.3FM, the Baylor Libraries and the Baylor Bookstore welcome everyone to come to Moody Memorial Library on the campus of Baylor University for 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. for a celebration honoring both Black History Month and the community of KWBU listeners. Author and Professor Robert Darden along with on-air personalities from KWBU will be part of the celebration that includes:

  • FREE Dr. Pepper Floats
  • FRee SHOUT! wall posters
  • Black Gospel Music listening stations
  • Book & Poster signing by Robert Darden

SHOUT! Black Gospel Music Moments is a series of two-minute glimpses into the history of the distinctly African-American sound from the golden age of gospel (1945-1975). This series airs on KWBU and other NPR stations around the country. Past segments are available for listening at kwbu.org/shout. SHOUT! is produced through a partnership between KWBU and the Black Gospel Music Restoration Project of the Baylor Libraries.
