The Central Libraries Rare Books and Special Collections showcases a rare and unique assortment of celebrated literary works and valuable materials. The W. R. Poage Legislative Library is home to a collection of political materials including legislative papers, editorial cartoons, campaign materials and research. The Armstrong Browning Library houses a vast collection of materials pertaining to Victorian poets Robert and Elizabeth Browning, as well as 19th century literature and culture. The Electronic Library hosts a variety of digitized materials ranging from sheet music to letters from the Civil War. The Texas Collection has archived a vast collection of books, papers, maps, oral histories and other materials relating to Texas and its history and culture.
