David McCullough and his wife Rosalee enjoyed a busy day in Waco. Mr.
McCullough addressed the Baylor School of Arts and Sciences faculty and
graduate students in the morning. An exclusive sponsor lunch was held at
Armstrong Browning Library, where Mr. McCullough spoke about the importance
of libraries in the telling of our history.
Approximately 1,000 people attended Mr. McCullough's lecture in Waco Hall.
The Patron Reception held at Armstrong Browning Library, was attended by 200
McCullough fans. They were treated to a book signing and a dessert reception.
This library fund-raiser cleared approximately $16,000 which was used to
refurbish and update the area around the main circulation desk in Moody
Memorial Library.
