Through the the libraries' ERD ( electronic resources database), you can listen to music on or off campus, anytime of the day or night. Just search "music streaming" as a keyword in the ERD. Many of these resources provide additional information about the music through links or liner notes.

Nearly 300,000 tracks of music, searchable by title, composer, artist, period, year of composition, instrument or genre.

Naxos Music LIbrary Jazz

Featuring over 2300 jazz albums searchable by artists, album or song title and catalogue number.

Smithsonian Global Sound

An encyclopedia of the world's musical and aural traditions with representation from over 160 countries. Includes a wide range of musical genres including American folk, American Indian, bluegrass, blues, classical, country, jazz, old time music, spoken word, and more.

Contemporary World Music

will contain 50,000 tracks covering genres such as reggae, worldbeat, neo-traditional, world fusion, Balkanic jazz, African film, Bollywood, Arab swing and jazz, traditional music, Indian classical, fado, flamenco, klezmer, zydeco, gospel, gagaku, and more.

American Song

Working toward 50,000 songs relating to all aspects of American life, ethnic groups, and time periods. Includes songs about American Indians, miners, immigrants, slaves, children, pioneers, cowboys, Civil Rights, political campaigns, Prohibition, the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, anti-war protests, hymns, humorous songs, college songs, sea shanties, shape note songs and more.
