| Event Description: | What do authors Harper Lee, F. Scott Fitzgerald, John Steinbeck and J.K. Rowling have in common? They have all written books that were challenged and banned by libraries in the United States. Stop by the exhibit in the corridor between Moody and Jones Libraries and see how many banned books you've read. You may be surprised. To see a list of the most challenged and banned books, visit the American Library Association Banned Books Web site. Brown Bag Lunch Read-Out sessions will be held in the Harvey Garden from noon to 1 p.m. on October 1, 3 and 5. Faculty, staff and students will read from their favorite banned books. |
