Placing Holds

If an item you need is checked out, you may place a "hold" on it. A hold reserves the item in your name to ensure that it is returned in a timely manner and that you are in queue to use it next. To place a hold, use the "Request" button located on the BearCat record for the item.

Holds are placed in the order received. You may ask staff at the Main Circulation Desk (Moody Library, 1st floor - 254.710.6702) to check the status of the hold and your place in queue.

You will be notified by email when the item is being held for you. NOTE: If you need the missing item soon, consider placing an inter-library loan request through OsoFast.
