Skeet Shoot Raises Almost $4,000 for "The Godfather" Endowed Scholarship
Baylor Lawyers and friends helped the Second Annual Professor David Guinn Skeet Shoot raise almost $4,000 for the Professor David Guinn "The Godfather" Endowed Scholarship, more than double last year’s take.
"The success of this year’s skeet shoot is a testament to the high esteem in which friends and colleagues hold David," said Baylor Law School Dean Brad Toben.
Following are the results of this year’s skeet shooting contest:
Highest Scoring Team: Team Fifth Amendment
Team Fifth Amendment, aka "The Guinn Team," comprised of Professor Guinn, David Jr. (JD ’89), John (JD ’95), Randal, Taylor, and Robert, originally tied with the Third Amendment Team made up of Judge Brad Cates (JD ’80), Pete Helmick, Danny Wright, Robert Stem Jr. (JD ’77), and Brian Howell (JD ’92). To determine the winner, a shoot-off was held between the highest shooters from each team, David Guinn Jr. and Pete Helmick. David Jr. prevailed for Team Fifth Amendment. Team Fifth Amendment has been the highest scoring team at both the first and second annual skeet shoots.
