Outside of school: "When I'm not at school, I love to spend time with my friends around Waco! Walking the trails at Cameron Park and exploring unique shops and restaurants in downtown Waco are two of my favorite weekend activities. I also enjoy running the Bear Trail around the Baylor campus."
Caffeine boost: Sonic Vanilla Diet Coke or Starbucks bold coffee with a pump of hazelnut.
Unwinding: "I enjoy watching episodes of "Modern Family" or "The Middle" with my roommate. I also love to bake sweets and desserts." Amanda has been known to share some of the best pumpkin chocolate chip muffins around the law school!
Student Organizations: Student Bar Association, Student Ambassadors and Christian Legal Society. "It is an absolute blessing to get to spend time with fellow law students that I can share my faith with. I have learned a lot from my Christian Legal Society meetings and they have definitely provided me with a great support system to be encouraged by every week."
Visiting Baylor Law: "I attended an Open House for admitted students where we visited a class and ate lunch with professors. This really helped me in my decision-making process because I was able to see how the students interacted with each other and also how the faculty felt about their students. I was impressed by the professors at Baylor and their accessibility, as well as their willingness to help students."
Favorite Class: Property I & II "I absolutely loved Property with Professor Bridget Fuselier. I admit that I was not looking forward to the class at first, but Professor Fuselier made the topic very interesting and the class very practical. In fact, the class sparked my interest in possibly pursuing a career in property law in the future. "
What I like About Baylor Law: THE FACULTY. "One of my favorite things about Baylor Law is the faculty. I went to a large public school for undergrad and had very little interaction with the faculty. It has been a pleasant surprise how accessible the faculty is and how willing they are to share their experiences with us as students. ."
What I love about Waco: "My favorite thing about Waco is the small town feel of essentially a pretty big city. Coming from San Antonio and having gone to school in Austin, I appreciate the small town feel of Waco and really enjoy many of the local establishments around the city. I love the old historic Waco district for its unique shops and restaurants. In addition, I love the river and the suspension bridge for the relaxation they both provide. "
