A Day in the Life of Rafael Rodriguez

Hometown: Fort Stockton, Texas Undergrad: BA in Political Science from Baylor University Starting Quarter: Spring

Down Time: "I enjoy the great outdoors. I run, cycle, and love to play golf. As beautiful as the law school building is, I'd much rather be outside doing something active."

Study snack: "I recently decided to stay away from caffeine. My favorite study snack is Superfood by Odwalla."

What about Waco? "I enjoy the small-town feel of the Baylor and Waco communities. As a student, you really feel a sense of closeness between the students and also with the rest of the community. Running errands around Waco is never an all-day adventure, which is nice when you also have tons of reading to do."

What makes Baylor Law great? The quality of the lawyers produced at Baylor. "I've heard it a thousand times, but after completing two years here, I know it must be true that Baylor lawyers are the most prepared for practice."

Small size: "The size of the student body allows students to build a strong bond with the faculty and with each other."

Quarter system: "The quarter system is a fast-paced system, but there is no doubt that it exemplifies the pace of a real life work atmosphere."

Would you recommend Baylor Law to others? "I would recommend Baylor Law School to those who are looking for a practice-oriented law school experience. Before I came to Baylor Law School, I heard that a Baylor lawyer would always be the most prepared in the coutroom. Now I can see why that would hold true. I will be proud to be part of this elite group of lawyers."
