Baylor Law School is one of the nation's best value private law schools as ranked by The National Jurist magazine.
Baylor Law School ranked second in The National Jurist's Best Value rankings for providing the best value in legal education. The rankings looked at tuition, debt, and cost of living and compared those numbers with the percentage of students employed and bar pass rates.
According to The National Jurist, "the study is designed to identify and recognize law schools that help students pass the bar exam and land jobs without burdening them with huge debt. Schools must meet all criteria to be included, and then The National Jurist applies a weighting system to determine each school's grade."
Brigham Young University ranked first, with Notre Dame Law School, Duquesne University, and Hamline University rounding out the top five. The complete Best Value rankings will appear in the October issue of The National Jurist.
"Tuition rates are considered carefully, and we have a generous scholarship program owing to the substantial endowment support of our alumni and friends," said Baylor Law School Dean Brad Toben.
The data in the study is based on the class of 2012. The Best Value rankings were created in 2004. Read the full story here.
