James Willis
Assistant Practice Court Associate

James Willis earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 2004 where he studied philosophy and Latin. This year he earned his J.D. from Baylor Law School. Along with Stephen Rispoli, he serves as Baylor's newest practice court associate.

JBefore coming to law school, James worked full time as a musician among other things. He toured internationally with multiple recording artists before deciding that law school was a better fit for him. During law school, James was the 2L class president and a very active member of the advocacy team. He interned for Quanta Technology's Expert Witness program in North Carolina in 2010 and Federal Bankruptcy Trustee Ron Satija in 2011. James has a particular interest in the Chapter 11 bankruptcy process.

In his free time, James enjoys playing the bass, fishing, and spoiling his two cats, Veruca and Kagan.
