Get Involved!
Even though you have little free time, student organizations are a great way to get to know people with similar interests, learn about a substantive area of law, or serve the community around you. If you do not see an organization in which you would like to get involved, consider starting one. See Stephen Rispoli for information about starting a new student organization at Baylor Law.

Veterans Services

The Provost's office is pleased to announce a new initiative to recognize and support student veterans enrolled at Baylor. The mission of VETS (Veteran Educational and Transition Services) is to promote the academic success of student veterans at Baylor University. Part of the Paul L. Foster Success Center, although located in the Army ROTC facility, the VETS office is staffed by a VETS Transition Coach, Mrs. LaNette Thompson, and I serve as the VETS Coordinator.

Currently about 100 student veterans are attending Baylor, with many having recently returned from deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. VETS offers a transition course for new student veterans and ongoing support for all student veterans (see for more information). In addition, one of the goals of the VETS program is to identify Baylor faculty and staff who are veterans or who have immediate family members currently serving in the military. If you are a veteran or have a family member serving, please send an email to
