Resumes

A professional resume is an essential tool for any student seeking legal employment. You will need a resume to apply for just about any job, and you should begin thinking about it soon in your law school career, consistent with NALP guidelines. For fall starters, that means November 1 of your entering year. For spring and summer starters, it means the beginning of your second quarter.

The CDO will have resume workshops throughout the year. Plan to attend one or more of these workshops. The CDO staff also is available to assist you individually with your resume. The links on this page contain some basic tips for drafting resumes and a few sample resumes.
