Baylor Law School earned an A+ in the latest issue of The National Jurist's inaugural list of "Best Schools for Practical Training." The listings were unveiled in the magazine's March issue. "This is the first effort to try to quantify which schools are delivering on their promises to make legal education more experiential," said Jack Crittenden, editor-in-chief, The National Jurist. Brian

The Baylor Law Alumni Association Executive Committee has selected Bill Brian (JD '74) as the 2014 Baylor Lawyer of the Year. Brian was surprised with the honor at a reception in Amarillo on Jan. 28. Baylor Law School Dean Brad Toben, and Baylor University President and Chancellor Ken Starr were in attendance. "I could not have been more surprised when Dean Toben announced that I had been selected," Brian said. "It is really a humbling experience because I look at the names of Baylor Lawyers who have received the Baylor Lawyer of the Year designation in prior years and I think, 'What am I doing here among these whom I admire so much?'"
