The results of the February Texas Bar exam have been released and Baylor Law is again No. 1 with a 95.56 percent pass rate. Texas has nine law schools, and since 2001 Baylor Law has been No. 1 on 17 of 24 bar exams given. "As always, the credit goes to our bright students who work so hard, to our dedicated faculty and staff colleagues, and to our wonderfully supportive University leadership," said Baylor Law School Dean Brad Toben. Meier

Baylor Law School Associate Professor Luke Meier has been selected as a recipient of the Outstanding Faculty (Non-tenured/Scholarship) award from Baylor University. Meier will be recognized at Baylor University's commencement ceremonies on May 17-18. "Professor Meier is a phenomenal scholar," said Baylor Law School Dean Brad Toben. "He produces a tremendous quantity of scholarship. More importantly, though, is the nature, quality and depth of his work. Professor Meier's scholarship falls into the traditional - and best - notion of what academic writing should accomplish." More

Top Gun 2013

The slate of competitors is set for Baylor Law School's 2013 Top Gun National Mock Trial Competition taking place June 6-9 in Waco, Texas. This innovative, invitation-only mock trial tournament takes the best trial advocates from 16 of the top advocacy schools in the nation and has them go head-to-head for the honor of being named Top Gun. The first-place winner receives $10,000. Founded in 2010, Baylor Law's Top Gun competition creates a challenging atmosphere for competitors. Unlike other mock trial competitions, participants do not receive the case file until they arrive in Waco -- just 24 hours before the first round of trials begin. More
