Legal scholars and political pundits who debate the legacy of recently deceased Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia say much of his historical significance is found in his prolific writings. Baylor Law School Professors Matthew Cordon and Scott Fraley agree that the power of Scalia’s writing stems from his abilities to make his words accessible to readers.

In the "Best Law Schools," category of U.S. News and World Report's 2017 edition of "Best Graduate Schools," Baylor Law School ranks #4 nationally for Trial Advocacy, and #55 overall.

Baylor Law host Supreme Court of Texas

Baylor Law School welcomed the nine Justices of the Supreme Court of Texas to the Sheila and Walter Umphrey Law Center, marking the fourth time the Court has convened at the Law School. In 1998, Baylor Law hosted the Court's first-ever trip outside of Austin and the Court returned in 2002 and 2007.
