Lady Bears lose Washington to ACL injuryNov. 23, 2010
Baylor Athletics website announced Monday that Lady Bears No. 15 guard Shanay Washington is unable to participate in the remainder of the season due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
Washington injured her left knee in practice Saturday, and will require surgery to repair the ligament tear. This is her third ACL tear; she tore her right ACL in high school and re-tore it during rehabilitation.
The Lady Bears intend to apply for a medical hardship waiver for the sophomore, which would afford her three more years of NCAA eligibility after this season.
