Several student buildings will close next week for the Thanksgiving holidays.

Moody Memorial Library and Jesse H. Jones Library will be closed on Thursday and Friday.

The libraries will close at 5 p.m. Tuesday and open on reduced hours from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

The libraries will reopen on Nov. 27, from noon to 5 p.m. The Prichard Information Commons on the second floor of Moody Library will be closed Wednesday through Saturday, but the Moody Computer Facility on the garden level will be open during library hours. Regular fall library hours will resume on Nov. 28 at 1 p.m.

"Although these days are official university holidays this year, the central libraries will be open to support faculty and students who wish to use the facilities for research," Bill Hair, associate dean and director of the central libraries, said on the library Web site.

Baylor's residence halls will close at 9 a.m. Wednesday and reopen at 1 p.m. on Nov. 28.

Those students needing housing over the holidays must talk to their residence hall director to work out temporary housing situations.

In addition, the McLane Student Life Center also will close its doors next week.

The SLC will close at 6 p.m. Tuesday and reopen from 4 p.m. to midnight on Nov. 28.

Finally, the Bill Daniel Student Center will close Wednesday through Saturday over the break.

The lower and first levels of the student center also will close early at noon Tuesday before Thanksgiving while the second and third floors will close at 5 p.m. the same day.
