Campus Living and Learning is hosting the second annual academic success fair. From 5 to 6:30 p.m. today in the Barfield Drawing Room of the Bill Daniel Student Center.

The Academic Success Center encourages students to meet with professors from academic departments, professionals from the Success Center and representatives from academic organizations. Information regarding changing majors, joining academic clubs and choosing elective courses will all be available.

Other academic services also will be available at the fair. Information regarding seminars throughout the year, including stress management, test-taking skills and resume building will be available.

'We are providing a way for students to learn about areas they may be interested in but may be unaware of,' Taryn Ozuna, graduate assistant for academic initiatives, said.

Representatives from 21 different academic departments and organizations will be in attendance to assist students with questions about academics.

'We want to give students an opportunity to talk face to face with each of the different schools,' Terri Garrett, associate director of academic initiatives and housing administration, said. 'We want to clarify questions students may have about changing majors or pursuing other interests.'

Students who attend the fair also will have the opportunity to enter a raffle. All students must have a signature from a professor, an academic service representative and a member of the support system to enter in the drawing. Prizes include a semester's worth of free textbooks from the Baylor Bookstore, half-hour massages and gift certificates for area businesses.
