The Bears will play their first away football game of the season at 7 p.m. Saturday, against the University of North Texas in Denton.
Baylor looks to defend and improve upon their undefeated series record against the Mean Green.
The Bears are coming off an upsetting 24-19 home loss against University of Alabama at Birmingham.
The team will face North Texas for the first time since their 20-7 victory in Denton during the 2000 season.
That was Baylor's last victory away from Floyd Casey Stadium.
The Bears are optimistic about ending their 14-game losing streak on the road this weekend.
North Texas is also recovering from a loss last weekend.
The Mean Green dropped their first game of the season 37-3 to the No. 1 ranked University of Oklahoma.
Several standout players will aid the Bears in their quest for victory Saturday. Senior running back Rashad Armstrong rushed for 100-plus yards in the past three consecutive games.
Armstrong was the first Bear to run more than 100 yards in six years. His record rushing yards ties 1997's Darrell Bush for the 19th-best single-game rushing in Baylor history.
Besides Armstrong's stellar performance, junior quarterback Aaron Karas ranks among Big 12 athletes.
Karas is ranked third among Big 12 quarterbacks in career passing yardage. Karas is also currently Baylor's record holder in completion passes.
Senior center Cedric Fields and senior cornerback Matt Johnson have displayed leadership skills throughout their football careers, recently earning co-captain honors.
A live broadcast of the game may be heard on the Baylor Radio Network, featuring the 'Voice of the Bears' John Morris.
