The Baylor tennis teams will both be in action this weekend, with the No. 18-ranked women hosting the University of Louisiana-Monroe at 9:30 a.m. Saturday and the No. 15-ranked men's team travelling to Starkville, Miss., for a showdown with the No. 17-ranked Mississippi State University Bulldogs.

It will be the first dual match of the spring season for the Lady Bears, while the Baylor men are coming off a 5-2 loss against No. 16-ranked Southern Methodist University earlier this week.

However, the Bears hope to get another strong performance from senior Csongor Bibza against the Bulldogs.

'We got everything we wanted from Csongor,' Knoll said. 'He was up a break in the third, and he just kept fighting.'

Knoll is also pleased with the way Neurohr is playing at this point and expects him to keep getting better.

'Reiner is playing No. 1 in doubles and we are asking a lot of him really early in the season,' Knoll said. 'We just keep throwing him out there against high caliber opponents.'

The team members said they were really looking forward to traveling to Mississippi State to play the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs are a mainstay among the top programs in the nation. They will also be looking to avenge a loss to the Bears suffered in the second round of last season's NCAA tournament.

Knoll knows winning will not be easy.

'Mississippi State is an extremely talented team that is as good as I've ever seen,' Knoll said. 'They will definitely be looking for revenge. Their home court is one of the toughest to play at in the nation.

'Not too many people go in there and win.'
