KK* wins 1st place in Sing

After weeks of practice and four performances, the following eight acts won the opportunity to perform their shows during next fall's Pigskin Revue:

First place: Kappa Kappa Gamma's 'Strike up the Band.'

Second place: Kappa Omega Tau's 'The Price of Glory.'

Third place: Phi Kappa Chi's 'Rushing Wind.'

In no particular order:

Kappa Delta's 'Cats.' Sigma Chi's 'Never- Neverland.' Delta Delta Delta's 'To Darn Hot.' Kappa Sigma's 'Anthology.' Chi Omega's 'Respect.'

The first cyclist meeting for students interested in Bear Downs takes place at 8:30 p.m Wednesday in Draper 116. Student Foundation will sponsor the 30th annual Bear Downs on April 19. The race consists of four-member teams that bike a 30-mile relay around a one-mile loop of campus.

The Italian Club will host its first Italian Carnevale from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at the Fountain Mall.

The Carnevale will feature Italian food, art, music and cultural displays depicting the Renaissance period.

Meet your Student Government Dr Pepper Hour takes place at 3 p.m. today in the Barfield Drawing Room of the Bill Daniel Student Center.

Students can meet all class officers, student body officers and Student Congress members at the event.

Student government is providing this opportunity so students can know where to voice any concerns and ideas to improve the university.

The South Waco Recreation Center will host its first Black History Program at 6 tonight in the recreation center gymnasium at 2815 Speight Ave.

Ten local schools and many area teachers will be making presentations at this free event.

Members of the faculty and staff will be rewarded for years of service at the annual Service Awards Ceremony at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Barfield Drawing Room in the student center.

Faculty and staff are recognized for their service in five-year increments with pins, brooches and certificates.

Outstanding Staff Rewards will be given to eight staff members, and one member of the faculty or staff will receive the Baylor Plus Award.
