Baylor's offering of tickets helps city, school harmonize
Baylor University has recognized its presence and influence in Waco, and is supporting the community by offering free tickets to area organizations and agencies.
Baylor athletics offered approximately 1,000 tickets to local organizations such as Big Brothers and Sisters and the Boys and Girls clubs of America for the football game against the UNLV and plans to offer more for the game against Oklahoma State.
This gesture provides Waco residents with the opportunity to enjoy Baylor sports, who otherwise would not be able to go.
These seats are in the student section, and even better way to bring the city of Waco closer to the Baylor community. Perhaps greater awareness of the gesture will lead to greater city participation in the program, and the free distribution of tickets to seats in the end zone
Hopefully actions such as this will continue in the future and will encourage other organizations in the Baylor community to extend invitations to the people of Waco.
Offering tickets to sporting events is one definitely a positive and successful way to bring Waco and Baylor together
