Master Oboe classes

Oboist Ray Still will present four master classes at Baylor from Friday to Sunday in Recital Hall II in Waco Hall.

Still is the former principal oboist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and is currently the professor of oboe at Northwestern University.

The classes will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to noon and 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The master class on Friday will have a performance from Ray Still and Brian Marks, piano lecturer.

All classes are free and open to the public.

Christian ballet troupe to perform

Ballet Magnificat! will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Church on the Rock on North 19th Street in Waco.

This world-traveled Christian ballet company has appeared on 'The 700 Club' and performed with Christian singer Twila Paris.

The company was founded in 1986 by U.S. International Ballet silver-medalist,Kathy Thibodeaux.

The ballet company conducts workshops around the country and operates out of the Ballet Magnificat School of the Arts.

The show is sponsored by the Deborah Korpi School of Music in Waco.
