Dr. Herbert Colvin, Emeritus Professor of Music Theory and University Carillonneur, will present a faculty concert with a variety of sounds.
The concert is scheduled for 7 p.m. today on the McLane Carillon, which is in the tower of Pat Neff Hall.
Colvin received a bachelor's degree from Baylor University, a master's degree from the University of Colorado and a doctorate from Eastman School of Music.
The 48-bell McLane Carillon instrument was a gift of the Drayton McLane family and the McLane Company, Inc., of Temple. The instrument is among only two hundred carillons used in the entire North American continent with a range of four octaves or more.
The concert is free and open to the public.
