KWBU Administers Double Dose of NPR's Science FridayMarch 3, 2011
Waco's NPR member station broadcasts Science Friday each Friday from 1 p.m. -- 3 p.m. on 103.3 FM. Until now, audiences with a thirst for all things science had only one chance to listen-in on the insightful conversations with scientists and intellectuals from all walks of life.
"We know not everyone can listen to the live edition," KWBU-FM Station Manager Brodie Bashaw said. "With so much information and good conversation, we felt a rebroadcast would serve our audience well."
During the two-hour program, journalist and host Ira Flatow is joined by listeners and studio guests to explore science-related topics--from subatomic particles and the human genome to the Internet and earthquakes. Flatow offers in-depth discussion with the people whose work influence our daily lives.
