KWBU-TV to air Baylor University Homecoming ParadeOct. 19, 2009
WACO, TEXAS October 16, 2009 - KWBU-TV will broadcast the 100th Annual Baylor University Homecoming Parade, one of the oldest and largest in the nation, with live coverage from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2009. Encore presentations will air on KWBU-TV at 11:00 p.m. that evening and Sunday, October 25, 2009 at 5:00 p.m.
Hosting the live television coverage and providing commentary will be Lori Fogleman, Baylor University Director of Media Relations, along with KWBU-TV senior producer Jessica Denk. This year's Grand Marshall is Bob R. Simpson, a Baylor University graduate and generous supporter of Baylor, as well as co-founder, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of XTO Energy Inc. of Fort Worth.
Beginning in 1909, the Baylor Homecoming Parade has become one of the longest standing traditions in collegiate history. A cherished Baylor University tradition celebrates its centennial this year and promises to be packed with fun and excitement.
Featuring floats, the Homecoming Queen and her court, balloons, and Baylor University's Golden Wave Band, as well as a variety of exciting special entries, there will be something to interest the entire family.

KWBU-TV is located on cable channel 4 and 1004 on Time Warner Cable, channel 4 and 404 on Grande Communications, and channel 34 on DirecTV as well as channel 34.1 over-the-air.
