FM Station Manager
Since the day KWBU became the NPR affiliate for greater Waco, Brodie has been "making the magic happen." Her commercial radio experience coupled with many years in public broadcasting, have given her a good foundation for heading up the on-air side of KWBU's operations. Brodie was raised in a military family; her father's Army stations ranged from Minnesota to Germany, Washington, Nebraska and California. But it is TEXAS she calls home! Brodie has three canine companions – all Schnauzers and is the doting aunt to 5 nieces and 4 nephews.
News Reporter and All Things Considered Host
Ryland Barton is a radio reporter and All Things Considered host at KWBU. He came to Waco from Austin where he worked as a reporter, producer and host for the local NPR affiliate, KUT. His reporting has taken him from the Texas capitol to small towns and cities around the world, covering state and local politics, water shortages, forced relocations in rural China, and the rise of luxury cars as status symbols in Beijing. Ryland has a Master's Degree in Journalism from the University of Texas and a Bachelor's Degree in English from the University of Chicago. Outside of work, he enjoys writing songs, playing ultimate frisbee and driving to new places.
