Yuko Prefume is a native of Tokyo, Japan, who brings first-hand experience of Japanese culture into the classroom. She is skilled in traditional Japanese arts and culture, such as shodo, koto, and soroban. In addition, her background in education and sociology enables her to offer cross-cultural perspectives and instructional strategies that consider the needs of individual students, providing each with a meaningful and interesting curriculum. She also works on translation projects for individuals and local businesses.
