ECAR Survey

ECAR is the EDUCAUSE Center for Applied Research. Its mission is "to foster better decision making by conducting and disseminating research and analysis about the role and implications of information technology in higher education."

Since 2004, ECAR has conducted an annual study of undergraduate students and information technology. Baylor has participated in this study, which surveys a random sample of freshman and senior students about their understanding and use of various technologies, since 2005. In 2008, 90 four year institutions and eight two year institutions participated in the study.
