Vice President for Information Technology and Dean of University Libraries
Welcome to the Office of the Vice President for Information Technology and Dean of University Libraries. I lead a university-wide administrative and academic information technology organization that supports excellence in research and scholarship by providing academic resources within a reliable, secure technology infrastructure that inspires discovery and empowers the university.
Before arriving at Baylor, I served at Wellesley College in the Information Services Division for 15 years where I provided leadership for information and technology initiatives, developed information services policies, oversaw institutional research for the information services division, and served on college-wide research projects. I served as a lecturer for 11 years in Wellesley's Computer Science Department and taught introductory computer science courses.
During my career, I have been involved in many professional associations. I am a 2000 Frye Fellow and a former faculty member in the EDUCAUSE Institute Management Program. I was elected to serve beginning in 2011 on the board of EDUCAUSE, the premiere association for higher education IT. I also serve as the Executive Representative for Internet 2, am a member of the Lonestar Education and Research Network (LEARN) Board of Directors, and have previously served on the boards of the Coalition of Networked Information (CNI), Texas Women in Higher Education, and the Texas Digital Library. Locally, I lead the Baylor University Sustainability Committee and serve on the Board of Directors for the Waco-McLennan County United Way.
My office is located on the Garden Level of Moody Memorial Library. I maintain a busy schedule, but am glad to meet with you by appointment or when I am in the office.
