AIRBEAR Changes

August 5, 2003
On July 1, 2003, Baylor University ITS made significant changes to the authentication system for the AIRBEAR wireless network. In the short-term, the change requires users to reconfigure or possibly upgrade their systems. AIRBEAR authentication now uses 802.1x PEAP which is an IEEE standards based authentication system. The move to 802.1x enables the AIRBEAR network to be more easily upgraded to future wireless security standards.

Faculty, staff and students can get further details of the changes and requirements to access the new AIRBEAR at
