Improvements to Ordering Textbooks Online

August 15, 2005
ITS-Internet Services and Purchasing today announce the availability of a direct link between the online course listings system, http://www1.baylor.edu/courselistings/, and the Baylor Bookstore online textbook sales system.

"We are always looking to improve service to our students by making information easier to find," said Scott Menefee, web programmer in Internet services.

Students can now link directly to the exact list of books for a course and section from the course listing system. The new direct link capitalizes on the features of Follett's Book Now technology.

"We have been working with our partners at Follett to provide this service for some time now," said Omar Pachecano, Assistant Director for Technology Procurement & Campus Services. "With this large incoming class, we want to encourage students to use the online facilities at the Bookstore which will help us to reduce the lines in the store and improve customer satisfaction."
