Turnitin Plagiarism Detection Service Available Through Blackboard
January 19, 2005
Baylor's Electronic Library has made available the Turnitin plagiarism detection service for faculty, students or staff through Blackboard. The Turnitin Building Block extension gives users of the Blackboard Learning System the ability to use Turnitin to check papers for plagiarism from within their Blackboard account. The extension also provides a direct link to Turnitin.com without having to maintain separate login accounts for Blackboard and Turnitin.com.
An exciting feature of this new service is its complete accessibility of submitted documents through the familiar Blackboard interface. Papers that are submitted through Blackboard as a Turnitin assignment are automatically checked for plagiarism. Instructors can then easily view the customized Originality Report for each paper that is submitted directly from their Blackboard account.
Faculty training sessions are now available to learn more about using the Turnitin service through Blackboard. To register for available seminars, visit the ITS and POD seminar registration site by clicking here.
