A tape drive upgrade of the ITS Tivoli backup system must be performed today beginning at 11:30 AM. All backup services will be unavailable during this outage. This includes client backups normally scheduled during this time, client initiated backups and installation of new clients. This upgrade is being performed by IBM technicians and will add additional tape slots and tape drive capacity to the backup system. Since the backup system does not run on weekends, all services will be restored and scheduled backups will be resumed on Monday.
