Baylor Long Distance Changes - 09/19/12

September 19, 2012
Baylor's provider for long distance billing has been changed. Keep in mind that your authorization code is six digits long and does NOT include '56'. Three things will be affected by this change:

The system will now respond differently when you enter your long distance phone number. Basically, the interrupted dial tone signaling you to enter your authorization code is now replaced by a high-pitched tone.

The method used for dialing a long distance number, which requires your authorization code, must be done in the following sequence: 9 + 1 + Area Code + Phone Number + after tone enter Authorization Code.

If using a fax machine, the required sequence is: 9 + 1 + Area Code + Phone Number + PAUSE button + Authorization Code.
