Services delivered through the Baylor Blackberry Enterprise server for all Baylor-owned Blackberry devices will be down for system maintenance on Friday, February 3, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until Noon.
From an administrative standpoint, this new version will increase availability and reliability of service, provide advanced mobile management through a new admin console, and provide better proactive monitoring that will help ITS minimize potential risks. For the client, this version will provide better email folder management, enhanced calendar functionality, capability to flag emails for followup, and play Windows Media audio files. We don't anticipate any issues, but want to have the best support available should the need arise, therefore, the upgrade will be performed during regular business hours. This time period will also allow our clients easier access to alternative methods of checking emails.
