New Options for Using LANDesk

The ITS LANDesk Information page (found under the Help Tab on the ITS website) has been updated to include some additional options so that a more accurate tracking of your technology assets can be accomplished for budget planning purposes. The following are highlights of the new options:

Departmental Printer Information - Use this link to generate a report of networked printers in your department. Please note: the printer custom data is still in the process of being updated. A final list will be available Nov. 14th.

Departmental Asset Updates - Use this link to request that the inventory report for your department be corrected. This may include requests to correct custom data on a device, to remove duplicates or to make deletions where needed, to remove stolen or missing devices, or to add computers not connected to the network. We have numerous requests for these revisions during this time of the year. Using this link to make these requests will automatically generate a ticket specifically for the device that you can then check the status of the request(s) as needed.

Departmental Requests for Updates - Use this link to request permission to run the LANDesk reports for your department, or to make departmental changes in the custom data for all the systems in your department, such as changing the department name or building name. We have numerous requests for these revisions during this time of the year. Using this link to make these requests will automatically generate a ticket specifically for the device that you can then check the status of the request(s) as needed.

Departmental Request Tracking - use this link to review the status of any tickets generated from the requests made above.
