When Microsoft released Office 2007 nearly two years ago, they not only transformed the look of the software and added many new features, but also introduced an entirely new XML-based (Extensible Markup Language) file format. As a result, the file extensions changed from .doc to .docx for Word documents, .xls to .xlsx for Excel documents and .ppt to .pptx for PowerPoint files.

The ID System will undergo scheduled maintenance to apply software upgrades on Monday, November 10, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Door Access will continue to operate, however no changes to access or door locking schedules will be accepted during the outage.
